第31章 圓月

圓月光華燦爛地在城鎮上空升起來了，城鎮裡所有的狗兒都開始吠叫起來了。 只有一隻狗不吠不叫，它用莊嚴的聲調對其餘的狗兒說道："別吵得寂靜從睡眠中醒來，也別用你們的吠聲把月亮喚到大地上來。" 於是所有的狗兒都肅靜無聲，停止吠叫了。但，那隻叫大家不要吠叫的狗兒，卻因寂靜而徹夜吠叫。 The Full Moon The full moon rose in glory upon the town, and all the dogs of that town began to bark at the moon. Only one dog did not bark, and he said to them in a grave voice, "Awake not stillness from her sleep, nor bring you the moon to the earth with your barking."

Then all the dogs ceased barking, in awful silence. But the dog who had spoken to them continued barking for silence, the rest of the night.
